Mentoring Circles

One of my passions is being a mentor. I enjoy sharing my experiences and knowledge with those who are seeking to learn and grow. I believe that having a mentor is essential for success. Hence, I have created a Mentoring Circle Program that allows me to mentor others. Strong mentors build strength, trust, and confidence in their mentees and provide a good example for them to live by.  The Mentoring Circles are divided up into five separate categories:

  • College Students - College is crucial to learning about the world around you and developing skills you will use for the rest of your life. My struggles and experiences in college partially shaped who I am today, and I wish to share my knowledge with others. Mentees of this program will learn what skills are needed to make a transition from college to career in addition to overall career planning.

  • Young Professionals - Once college is complete and you have your degree in hand, where do you go from there? What are the necessary steps and skills needed to climb the corporate ladder? Mentees of this program will learn crucial networking skills as it pertains to the corporate world, overall career development, as well as personal branding.

  • Socialpreneurs - Those seeking to start a non-profit of their own. My experience in starting my own non-profit has given me first-hand knowledge of the ins and outs of starting a non-profit. Mentees of this program will learn the necessary steps to starting a non-profit organization.

  • Felons, Non-Violent - Life does not always go the way we would like it to, and many of us make mistakes that we must be responsible for. But none of this means your life is over. Mentees of this program will learn necessary life skills to help them get back on the right track. I am committed to helping those who want to learn and shape themselves for the better.  The targeted age is 16-25 years old. This is a Faith Based Mentoring Circle.

  • 3.5 Club at the University of Houston - The 3.5 Club is for University of Houston students who are committed to academic excellence. The 3.5 Club is a four-year program designed to prepare students for life after college. Students majoring in the following fields are eligible to submit an application: business, communication, economics, engineering, and political science. The 3.5 Club will meet monthly except for the summer months.

I am also open to mentoring individuals who do not fall into these categories. If you are seeking guidance and mentorship, please do not hesitate to contact me.

All Mentoring Circles will have five to eight individuals. Each Mentoring Circle is open to anyone who wishes to apply and fits the appropriate criteria to join.
